Grand Lake’s Newest Residents
Graham + Paula are dear friends of ours.
Our families have cabins in Grand Lake where we all spend a lot of time. Graham and Paula, much more than we do. After one too many weekend drives to Grand Lake and back to Denver, they decided they wanted to sell their beautiful Denver home and become full-time Grand Lake residents! This was a major life change, including unwinding careers, school changes, and losing some of our in-town pals.
We started discussing their plan last fall and even took exterior listing photos to capture their beautiful yard and mature trees before winter hit. They wanted to list in the spring and move to the mountains this fall so their kiddos could start their new schools. We brought in an interior designer for advice and staging, decluttered kids rooms and wall art, took professional photos, and put together the listing timeline and marketing plan.
They did a full renovation and addition in 2019-2020, not expecting to move. It was custom, exactly how they wanted it to look. Luckily for everyone, they have amazing taste. They kept so much of the historic charm and beauty of their existing home and added all the modern upgrades. We listed in early March, hosted a few open houses, and the right buyers came through. We were under contract in less than a week and closed the following month. It was an easy transaction for everyone involved, but it was so emotional! This home truly has so many memories and so much love.
I am so grateful to Graham and Paula for their trust in this major life change. We can’t wait to visit them in Grand Lake at their new, amazing mountain home.
