Pick Your Own Sunflowers: August 2-24 at Anderson Farms. Over 20 varieties of sunflowers ranging in height, colors, and stages of bloom! Admission includes a wagon ride to and from the field.

Vail Wine Classic: Thurs-Sun, August 7-10. Need an excuse for a little weekend getaway? Snag tickets to the Vail Wine Classic & invite your friends so you can bask in the cool mountain air and soak up the views while sipping wines from around the world.

Rocky Mountain Folks Festival: Fri-Sun, August 8-10 at Planet Bluegrass Ranch, Lyons. A three-day music and camping festival that showcases a range of artists and genres. Food and alcohol are sold on-site and outside food and drinks are permitted, excluding alcohol.

Carnation Festival: Fri-Sun, August 8-10 in Wheat Ridge. Once named the "Carnation Capital of the World", Wheat Ridge embraces its heritage through this spectacular event. In 2024, our 55th annual festival, Wheat Ridge Carnation Festival, will be filled with food, music, culture, and fun for people of all ages!

Sculpture In The Park: Fri-Sun, August 8-10 in Loveland. Invited artists present their sculptures in Benson Park over three days, including a silent auction and a chance to take home other souvenirs; now in its 41st year.

Telluride Jazz Festival: Fri-Sun, August 8-10. 48th year celebrating America’s destination jazz event, nestled in the San Juan Mountains.

Western Welcome Week: Fri-Sun, August 8-17 in Littleton. The ten-day “homecoming” celebration invites anyone who was born or has ever lived in Littleton to return home for a big party. Even those who’ve only visited Littleton are welcomed with open arms.

Telluride Mushroom Festival: Wed-Sun, August 13-17. Rejoice in all aspects of this fungus for the 45th year. Events include lectures, forays, performances, workshops, parades, movies, cooking, and food.

Palisade Peach Festival: Fri-Sat, August 15-16. 57th year, enjoy two days of enjoying Palisade peaches. Last year’s festival attracted more than 15,000 people from around the world.

Breckenridge International Festival of the Arts: Fri-Sunday, August 15-24. This is one of the coolest art festivals as it’s held over ten days, both indoors and outside in nature.

Lafayette Peach Festival: Saturday, August 16. The 29th annual peach fest showcases world-famous Palisade peaches. Taste peach pies, cobbler, and smoothies. Arts and crafts, antique dealers, and artists, along with food and drink vendors. Live music, children’s activities, and live entertainment throughout the day.

Cidermass: Sat, August 16. Enjoy tastings from more than 30 hard cideries, batch distilleries, and hard seltzer makers from all over the country at this one-day event, held on the Snowmass Mall.

Front Range Wine Festival: Sat, August 16. Back for its 13th year, this Windsor gathering includes live music and unlimited samples from more than 35 Colorado wineries.

Fort Collins Peach Festival: Sat, August 16. Help raise funds for Northern Colorado nonprofits by stuffing your face with pie, ice cream, and fresh, whole peaches. This sweet event also includes live music, food and drinks — including, of course, peach cocktails.

Breckenridge Wine Classic: Thurs-Sat, August 21-23. Enjoy even more delicious wine and more beautiful mountain scenery at the Breckenridge Wine Classic. This event spotlights more than 300 wines, beers, and spirits, plus seminars, pairings, and winemaker meet-and-greets.

Durango Blues Train: Thur-Sat, August 21-23. Attend an epic, one-of-a-kind blues train, round-trip from Durango to Silverton.

San Juan BrewFest: Fri-Sat, August 22-23 in Durango. Annual beer-tasting festival featuring live music and dozens of breweries.

Breckenridge Hogfest, Bacon & Bourbon Festival: Fri-Sun, August 22-24. Indulge in all your favorite things — bacon, bourbon, music, and mountains — at this mouthwatering gathering in Breck. Enjoy activities like a bourbon pairing dinner, a grand tasting, and Sunday brunch at this food-focused fête.

Colorado State Fair & Rodeo: August 22 – September 1 in Pueblo. This widely popular eleven-day event is in its 152nd year, with parades, live music, rodeos, carnival, livestock, horse show, and hundreds of vendors selling everything from Indian tacos to handcrafted jewelry.

Olathe Sweet Corn Festival: Saturday, August 23. Spend a fun summer Saturday devouring the town’s famous sweet corn and listening to groovy live music.

The Boulder Taco Fest: Saturday, August 23. Gorge on tacos and margaritas along the shady banks of Boulder Creek. This one-day bash also includes lucha libre wrestling, live music, tequila, a 5K taco run, and a costume contest.

Affordable Arts Fest: Sunday, August 24 in Littleton. A one-day art event in which visitors can purchase high-quality pieces, often originally priced much higher, for $150 or less.

Four Corners Motorcycle Rally: Thur-Sun, August 28–August 31 in Durango. The annual Four Corners Motorcycle Rally features live bands, poker runs, a Harley-Davidson Giveaway, an Indian Scout Giveaway, and other festivities.

Keystone Oktoberfest: Saturday, August 30. Keystone’s annual Oktoberfest with beer and brats. Activities include free face painting, a bounce house, and the Edelweiss Polka Dancers.
