Denver Jazz Fest: Tues-Sat, April 7-11. From funky neighborhood breweries to intimate jazz supper clubs and major concert halls, the inaugural Denver Jazz Fest will offer many exciting ways to experience jazz in both Denver and Boulder!
Aspen Film Shortsfest: Tues-Sat, April 7-11 in Aspen and Carbondale. Each April, enthusiastic audiences, filmmakers, and special guests from around the world gather in Aspen for public screenings, panels, workshops, and special events celebrating the art and craft of short-form cinema.
Boulder International Film Festival: Thurs-Sun, April 9-12. Film fanatics won’t want to miss the 22nd annual Boulder International Film Festival. Quickly becoming an internationally acknowledged talent hub for theater, this soiree features film screenings, panels, workshops, and themed afterparties.
Durango Bluegrass Meltdown: Fri-Sun, April 10-12. Three days of concerts showcasing bluegrass bands from around the country, in its 30th year. Special events include a Durango-style barn dance, Saturday night ‘Celtdown’, and music in local restaurants and bars. The headquarters is in the historic Strater Hotel.
Colorado Auto Show: Friday-Sunday, April 10-12 at the Colorado Convention Center. A premier showcase of the newest and hottest models of the year, including both domestic and imported vehicles.
Bud Light Rocks the Boat: Saturday, April 11 + Sunday, April 12 at Steamboat Ski Resort. Celebrate spring in Steamboat with the return of a beloved tradition. Now in its 25th year, Bud Light Rocks the Boat brings free concerts to Steamboat Square, creating the perfect après-ski atmosphere every weekend. Concerts begin at 3:30 pm in Steamboat Square.
Colorado Tartan Day Festival: Sat-Sun, April 11-12 at the Boulder County Fairgrounds in Longmont. Join in on a weekend of Scottish heritage, history, and community. Whether you are a descendant of the Highlands or just a fan of Celtic culture, there is something for everyone. From the skirl of the pipes to the clash of broadswords, come experience the spirit of Scotland in Longmont.
Rocky Mountain Train Show: Sat-Sun, April 11-12 at the National Western Complex. Showcasing more than 20 manufacturers, 50 vendors, and 20 operating layouts, the annual Rocky Mountain Train Show has something for every train lover. There is even a junior engineering program for children.
5Point Film Festival: Thur-Sun, April 23-26 in Carbondale. A four-day Carbondale film festival with traveling events throughout the year.
Durango Wine Experience: Fri-Sat, April 24-25. Walkabout Historic Downtown Durango through an amazing selection of wines and decadent appetizers at 10 local shops. Under the tents at Buckley Park, guests have a grand selection of hundreds of wines from around the world and regional Colorado spirits.
