Denver Food + Wine Festival: Weds-Sat, Sept. 3-6: Don’t miss the Colorado Restaurant Foundation’s annual fundraising event to help support the Front Range culinary community. Eat and drink your way through the Grand Tasting, study up at the Riedel Wine Glass Seminar, open your heart & your wallet at the Dine Out auction series and vote on your favorite cocktails and food trucks at the Shake + Brake Showdown.

Denver Mineral, Fossil, Gem, and Jewelry Show: Fri-Sun, September 5-14. Spend a day strolling through miles of tables and booths where 500+ dealers from all over the country come to sell their products and share the beautiful world of geo.

Steamboat OktoberWest: Friday-Saturday, September 5-6. Over 30 brewers come to Steamboat’s mountain village for this 16th annual Octoberwest. Enjoy craft beer, live music, and a beef cook-off.

Castle Rock Artfest: Sat-Sun, September 6-7. More than 110 artists ascend into Castle Rock for this annual fine arts fest.

Colorado Dragon Boat Festival: Sat-Sun, September 6-7 at Sloan’s Lake. A premier event celebrating the accomplishments and culture of the Asian American and Pacific Islander communities within the state.

Southern Ute Tribal Fair & Powwow: Fri-Sun, September 12-14 at the Sky Ute Fairgrounds, Ignacio. A grand celebration of the Southern Ute Indian Tribe in Ignacio, Colorado. Held since 1920, the excitement of gathering as a tribe and sharing traditions, food, and camaraderie has always been a highlight of each September.

Telluride Blues & Brews Festival, Fri-Sun, Sept. 12-14: Sip craft beer while jamming out to musicians like The Black Crowes, Thundercat, and Lukas Nelson at this three-day gathering in the scenic San Juans.

Snowmass Wine Festival, Sat, Sept. 13: Spend a dreamy afternoon sipping wine at Snowmass Town Park. This longstanding event also includes music, bites from local restaurants, and a silent auction benefiting its host, the Rotary Club of Snowmass Village. Come up a day early to enjoy a reception and a four-course dinner with wine pairings at Viceroy Snowmass!

Pawtoberfest: Saturday, September 13 in Colorado Springs. Annual festival with craft beer, cocktails, food vendors, and a 2-mile dog walk that benefits the Humane Society of the Pikes Peak Region.

Taste of Ethiopia, Sun, Sept. 14: Held this year at City Park, Taste of Ethiopia is a vibrant celebration of one of Colorado’s most treasured immigrant communities. Immerse yourself in this country’s rich culture through its cuisine.

Pueblo Chile and Frijoles Festival, Fri-Sun, Sept. 19-21: Green chiles are part of Colorado’s identity. You can celebrate these humble, spicy beauties by making a trip down to Pueblo for this festival, which also includes a jalapeño-eating contest, a chihuahua parade, a hot air balloon fest, a magic show, a farmers market, and more.

Colorfest Balloon Rally: Fri-Sun, September 19-21 in Pagosa Springs. 38th anniversary of high-flying fun, held annually since 1986. The Passport to Pagosa Food & Wine Fest kicks off the festivities on Friday night with international wine and food pairings, followed by a 5k run and two mass ascensions.

Colorado Mountain Winefest, Sat, Sept. 20: This festival offers samples from dozens of wineries, cideries, and meaderies. Help support the Colorado Association for Viticulture and Enology at this annual fundraiser. Held at Palisade’s Riverbend Park, this event is a glorious celebration of our state’s wine scene.

Colorado Scottish Festival: Sat-Sun, September 20-21 in Sedalia. An annual two-day family-friendly event that showcases Scottish traditions, culture, and history through athletic competitions, re-enactments, blacksmithing, folk music, dancing, and traditional food.

Durango Autumn Arts Festival: Sat-Sun, September 20-21. Discover a weekend of arts and crafts on Second Avenue in downtown Durango. Explore the various booths selling their handmade goods among the fall colors.

Breckenridge Bluegrass & Beer: Friday-Sunday, September 26-28. An early fall weekend of bluegrass music, craft beer, and local foods, held in downtown Breckenridge.

VegFest, Sun, Sept. 28: All of the food trucks and vendors are 100% vegan! While you’re here, enjoy live music, family-friendly activities, morning yoga, and motivational speeches.

TEDxBoulder: Sunday, September 28. TEDx event held in Boulder at the Chautauqua Auditorium. It features more than a dozen speakers and performers giving inspirational and thought-provoking performances.
