Just Sold: Katie
Katie and I worked together back in the day at Vail Resorts. She was in HR, and I was in hospitality operations. We were a match made in corporate and friendship heaven! She was moving on to a new chapter in New York City for work. She reached out, and we made a plan to get her home listed! It was a time of major life changes, as it usually is when selling a home.
She worked really hard at getting her home cleared out, staged with her existing furniture, and cleaned to perfection. She moved to New York and trusted me with the rest! We were up against other competition in the area, including new builds, which can offer really competitive interest rates.
We hosted open houses, we had regular showings, and we got an offer! Our offer was contingent on the buyer’s home selling, and it wasn’t even on the market yet. We had to trust the process. And a process it was…
The buyer’s got a contingent offer on their home, meaning their buyers also had to sell their home first.
We trusted the process. We put our faith into the real estate universe, and it delivered. The buyers were able to close on their home, and our buyers were able to close on Katie’s home. I drove to Windsor one morning to pull weeds to clear up an HOA violation since the house was vacant through spring and weeds were popping up. I’m always going the extra mile for my clients 😊
We had a smooth closing, despite the stress of a double-contingent sale! It wasn’t in the plan, but plans change.
I am so grateful to Katie for her trust during a tough market, lots of competition, and during her relocation across the country. Oh, and fun fact, Katie is now back in Winsdor. Just 2 cross country moves in 1 year to land back in the same place. Like I said, plans change.
