Kids Adventure Games: Thursday-Sunday, August 6-9 in Vail. The only multi-city adventure race for children ages 6-14 that is tailored to the natural landscape of the host city.

Leadville Boom Days: Fri-Sun, August 7-9. Featuring three days of activities, food, and recreation held on the first full weekend in August. Events include burro races, a motorcycle rodeo, historic contests of individual mining skills, a gun show, a softball tournament, a street fair, and live entertainment.
Rocky Mountain Folks Festival: Fri-Sun, August 7-9. Planet Bluegrass Ranch, Lyons. A three-day music and camping festival that showcases a range of artists and genres. Food and alcohol are sold on-site, and outside food and drinks are permitted, excluding alcohol.
Sculpture In The Park: Fri-Sun, August 7-9 in Benson Park, Loveland. Invited artists present their sculptures in Benson Park over three days, including a silent auction and a chance to take home other souvenirs; now in its 41st year.
Telluride Jazz Festival: Fri-Sun, August 7-9. 49th year celebrating America’s destination jazz event, nestled in the San Juan Mountains.
Carnation Festival: Fri-Sun, August 7-9. One of the longest-running festivals in Colorado. The festival derives its name from the post-World War II period when Wheat Ridge was home to a thriving carnation industry.
Western Welcome Week: Fri-Sun, August 7-16 in Littleton. The ten-day “homecoming” celebration invites anyone who was born or has ever lived in Littleton to return home for a big party. Even those who’ve only visited Littleton are welcomed with open arms.

Colorado Music Festival: Select days through August 9 in Boulder. Six weeks of symphonies, orchestras, and other classical music. It’s held at the historic Chautauqua Auditorium, now in its 48th year.
